All about Calmore

Our learning focus for this next half term is Geography.  We will be finding out all about Calmore and the local amenities. The children will watch a video from ‘Jack’ who needs their help.  He lives in Scotland and wants to move to Calmore.  Jack wants to know all the things that Calmore has to offer to him and his family e.g. a church, a shop, etc.  During the half term it would be great if you can go out for a walk around Calmore and its surrounding area, to find other things that Calmore provides e.g. Testwood Lakes, a coffee shop, Southampton airport, train station. 

This half term we will also be celebrating the festival of ‘Diwali’ on Wednesday 6^th November.  The children will be learning about how Hindus celebrate Diwali and will join in with some of these celebrations.
