This term our topic is ‘Great Fire of London’. As part of the History Curriculum children are required to learn about historical events beyond their living memory. The children appear to be very excited about this topic. Can they find out any interesting facts about ‘The Great Fire of London’ using books or the Internet at home? Who is Samuel Pepys and why is he important? Can they become true ‘detectives’ finding out what started the fire and how it could have been prevented? The children will showcase their work all about ‘The Great Fire of London’ in The Calmore Exhibition, so please come along to support them.
